XII SESSION OF THE RUSSIAN-ARAB BUSINESS COUNCIL (RABC) AND THE IV INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION “ARABIA-EXPO 2019” WILL BE HELD FROM 8 TO 10 APRIL 2019, “MANEGE” CENTRAL EXHIBITION HALL (MOSCOW)
Moscow, 02/05/2019 Slogan of the Event is “Russia-Arab world: time to cooperate for our future”. The holding of this event is envisaged by the Plan of multisectoral actions to deliver on the principles, goals and objectives of the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum between the Ministry of foreign affairs of the Russian Federation and the League of Arab States.
The Event is organized by the Russian-Arab Business Council (RABC) with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the League of Arab States, the Union of Arab Chambers, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation, Ministry of energy of the Russian Federation, Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation, Ministry of industry and trade of the Russian Federation, Government of Moscow, the Russian export center, the Russian embassies in the Arab countries and diplomatic missions of the Arab countries in Moscow. Mr. Evtushenkov, the Chairman of the board of directors of the JSFC “Sistema” is a longstanding president of the Council from the Russian part.
Official delegations as well as representatives of business circles from Russian regions and about 20 Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia and others are expected to participate in the Event.
“The main task of this action, unique in terms of its scale in the Russian-Arab dialogue is establishing a qualitatively new level of friendly interstate relations between Russia and countries of the Arab region in trade and economic fields,- says the RABC Director, Ms Tatiana Gvilava.-The XII RABC Session emphasizes on revitalization and initiating constructive interaction between business circles of our countries. The “Arabia-EXPO” business platform will provide with an opportunity for open discussion and outspoken exchange of views on the most important issues of global economy and the Russian-Arab agenda; will bring the existing potential of economic relations to a completely new level through the interaction between entrepreneurs from Russia and the countries of the Middle East and North Africa, expand the cooperation geography”.
For Russian regions the upcoming Event is an opportunity to demonstrate their industrial and investment potential to investors from Arab world. For Arab participants this Exhibition is a wonderful chance to get acquainted with all the diversity of the Russian regions, to discover the uniqueness of each region and choose the most promising areas for cooperation.
A rich business program is envisaged for participants and guests of the Event: round tables, bilateral councils’ meetings, business-dialogues, presentations, case-zone and so on. Among the participants are members of Arab delegations, in particular related ministers, owners and top-managers of major corporations as well as representatives of Russian state authorities and leading companies. Topics for round tables’ discussions are the following: “Infrastructure development, construction, real estate”, “Financial services and trade”, “Medicine, pharmaceutics and cosmetology”, “Transportation and logistics”, “Education and university cooperation”, “Tourism, business tourism”, “Franchising as an efficient instrument of cooperation”, “Food security” and others.
Within the panel sessions it is envisaged to discuss the following subjects: “Development prospects of the Russian-Arab relations”, Moscow-megapole of the future: creating new opportunities”, “Russia-Middle East. Information flows”, “Russia-Arab world: investing in infrastructure, human capital and industry. New trends’. Special discussions will be dedicated to Russian-Arab cooperation in industrial and agricultural sphere, including halal production. Particular focus will be given to new trends in energy, information systems and digital economy.
Moreover the program includes holding of bilateral councils’ sessions/dialogues between countries-participants of Moscow meeting and presentations of free zones of Russia and Arab countries. Bilateral business councils are created and coordinated by the RABC in view of maintenance and development of a unique contacts infrastructure in business and official circles of Russia and the MENA countries.
